About SaveMyHomeBook.com

Search the Internet for "stop foreclosure" and you'll get hundreds of sites promising to help you -- for a fee. Others are actually run by mortgage brokers whose real purpose is to steer you into loans that earn them fat fees, regardless of whether they're right for your situation.

Kaplan Publishing approached me to write "Save My Home" in late 2007 to fill a gaping need for quality, unbiased, straightforward, easy-to-apply information to help the growing number of homeowners facing foreclosure. At the time there were only a few recent books available on the subject -- and about ten times as many about how to take advantage of homeowners in foreclosure. Clearly, the need was great.

Of course I hope that you'll buy the book, which is available at retailers everywhere. But just as much I hope you'll get the information you need to avoid the sharks and get yourself safely through this difficult time. The book is your course; SaveMyHomeBook.com is the postgraduates' lounge.

Some resources on this site are "affiliate links": that is, I receive some small payment by referring you through them. I've only linked to companies and products that I believe to be honest, useful, and straightforward. The SaveMyHomeBook.com site is 100% free, does not sell counseling or mortgage services to individuals, and does not share member or visitor information with anyone.

You can help others to decide which companies and products to use by discussing them in the forum. I monitor those forums frequently, both to help answer questions and to monitor the quality of the site and its partners.

I hope this site helps you through difficult times, and look forward to hearing about your success!
